Hi David;
Thanks for posting, This is a very tidy install.

Fuel Flow Placement

Attachments:Here are some pictures. The EGT and CHT probes were relatively easy, the other transducers and wiring took some thought and planning. We used the oil pressure hole in the firewall to run the sensor wires through. Used only Adel clamps on the engine mount tubes, no zip ties there (although used in other places where it made sense).
Steve & Francis,
Yes, happy as a clam with the JPI900. It replaced all the old engine gages with more accurate ones and they all have alarms. I don’t worry as much about missing a parameter going out of spec. This along with all the EGT and CHT has helped me be kinder to my engine. The MAP is another plus. The fuel flow sender was the last transducer to be put in. The install was going long, I couldn’t come up with a place to put it that I was happy with, and knowing that it was not flight critical, decided to delay the fuel flow install until later after some investigation into the best place to put it.
We spent quite a bit of time coming up with where to put everything and how it got wired, pretty happy with what we came up with. I will post some pictures later.
Thanks for the comments.
DaveHey David,
I’d love to see the rest of your installation. Currently debating whether to install my EDM 700 or sell it and buy a single EGT and fuel flow. Pictures of the probes, wiring, routing and such would really help me.
Thanks!
I installed mine in the fuel line between the engine driven pump and the carburetor inlet. As I recall the instructions ask that it be installed in a straight hose run at the level of the carburetor inlet. I used flexible hoses with firesleeves to get what I needed. I’ve attached a picture.

We recently installed a JPI900 to get engine monitoring as well as replace the inaccurate original gages. Spent a lot of time in figuring out placement of the JPI and sensors as well as wiring. Happy as a clam with the results. However, never could figure out a good place to put the fuel flow sensor and route the fuel lines. I am currently running without it, but need to figure out how to get it installed.
So I am looking for advice. Has anyone had a fuel flow transducer installation they were happy with?Thanks!
