I’m trying to find an avionics shop, in the central plains region, which is willing and able to repair a Piper Altimatic IIIb autopilot. I have tried Autopilots Central and they’ve ignored all inquiries. Other local avionics shops try to push for a new system install. Our PA32-260 is due for an engine overhaul, soon, so there is limited budge for autopilot repair (autopilot is optional, engine is mandatory, unless we get our glider rating).
